About Our Leadership
Clergy
Through most of our congregation’s history, we have had a part-time rabbi and occasional cantorial soloists to lead our services. We are currently seeking to hire our next rabbi. In the meantime, services are regularly led by members along with guest cantorial soloists from the community.
Caring Community
We are committed, to the greatest extent possible, to supporting our members who are going through challenging circumstances such as illness and loss. We also want to make sure all our members know we are thinking about them as they age and sometimes become more isolated. We are being aided in these efforts by our chaplain intern, Amanda Krohn, who is working toward a Masters of Jewish Studies and Chaplaincy at the Academy for Jewish Religion California (AJRCA). She is completing her Clinical Pastoral Education field work in our Bet Chaverim community during academic year 2026-27. To contact Amanda, please email her: careteam@betchaverim.org
Board of Directors
Our congregation has an elected board of officers and at-large members who meet monthly in order to provide governance and assure adherence to our bylaws and the values and principles of Reform Judaism. The board is elected at our annual meeting, held on the last Sunday of June each year.
