A Community of Learners

Learn, Explore, Discover

Our congregation is filled with individuals who are excited about Jewish learning and who challenge themselves in a supportive atmosphere of growth. Whether a member aims to celebrate their bar or bat mitzvah (at any age), desires to learn to read Hebrew prayers, or find more ways to enrich their life with Jewish rituals and celebrations, we try to match the learner with the resources.

Those hoping to pursue conversion to Judaism are encouraged to take an introduction to Judaism class through the Washington Coalition of Rabbis or another congregation.  We can assist you in finding a class that meets your needs.

We have an ongoing Torah learning group that meets via zoom on Monday afternoons and we typically have a lay-led Torah study session following our Saturday Shabbat service once a month.

Other classes and individual tutoring are possible, depending on the interests of our members.

Because our congregation does not currently have many members with school age children, we do not currently offer a Hebrew School or Religious School program.  We would be happy to discuss with you options for a Jewish education for kids and teens in your family.

Most of our holiday programs are very much geared to all ages and are a fun way to introduce Jewish traditions.  Check our calendar of events for what’s coming up.

Feel free to contact the chair of our Religious Practices and Education committee if you have ideas, suggestions or questions. [link to email here.]
